ISTR and the Society for Radiological Protection are pleased to announce a free joint webinar on non-ionising radation.

  • Are you a laboratory or workplace safety officer, a radiation safety supervisor or otherwise involved in supporting safety within your workplace?
  • Do you manage a workplace which has equipment with potentially hazardous optical or electromagnetic field emissions, such as welding equipment, induction heating, ultra violet lamps, magnetic resonance equipment, lasers, high current motors, demagnetisers, substations/switch-rooms/transformers, electric charging, broadcast antennas, etc.?
  • Would you like to gain better insight regarding the control and management of these risks?
  • Would you like be better informed regarding regulatory and governance issues surrounding non-ionising radiation safety?
  • Do you have any 'workers at particular risk', (e.g. personnel with implanted medical devices that may be susceptible to interference from electro-magnetic fields such as pacemakers, implanted defibrillators, body-worn insulin pumps , heart pumps, etc)
